ENABLING - CASE STUDY

This is a good way to test new candidates, asking them how they will/would set a site up, and in this example with a mass of retained services whilst maintaining resilience and “business as usual” for the client, this is a good example for displaying to candidates what level they must be prepared to deliver to, if tasked to, and how to simplt tackle it. Please note this is a IBSM Base-Level report, and has been deleted in part(s) and reduced in others, to prevent showing all IBSM methods, but is shown as a services standard entry level report.

(The final report(s) are accordingly restricted, this example is a snapshot of work in progress at time of creation)

EXAMPLE OF ENABLING STRATEGY / SET-UP - (A requirement for all IBSM's).

Site Enabling including a mass of retained plant services with the building adjoined as this was techncially an inter-linked complex with several mid-air walk bridges

IBSM provided the full site enabling package/design for temp-pricing, and alike and can provide training to others on how to work to this scale, whilst ensuring resilience, power, water, heating/cooling and future modifications are all planned and accounted for.

The site-up and the close-out periods are so important and require BSM's with higher, Keevan completed this to its conclusion on his own and handed over to a local BSM to carry on into the construction stage. (Therefore, reducing lodging, travel fees/time, and a 1.5yrs out of town)

This is where individuals with a lower competence level serve a part in the industry, because once the site is set-up, trade subcontractor scope(s) agreed, price(s) agreed, program(s) agreed, and alike.

The more competent individuals are better utilised overseeing, mentoring, monitoring the project staff, and (re)attend closer to the final stages, whilst utilising their abilities on matters elsewhere, until the more important commissioning phase.

Example IBSM PSM-SR Document

This example document can be demonstrated/presented but for has been contractor de-badged and amended for apparent reasons, but the entire document is a IBSM document solely built and designed by "Keevan" so is applicable for presentation purposes.

This document also contains the IBSM MMR - "Minute of Meeting & Report" and the HV change-over strategy, essentially if you have a candidate that can demonstrate this level of detail it’s a good benchmark, but the IBSM scoring matrix will enhance the scoring and grading of any BSM/M&E PM.

Please note the IBSM management system has created named, formatted, designed documentation formed over many years of development throughout a vast amount of experience.

Note: No NDA agreement was in place during the "instructed" tendering phase (It was removed plans for the building are now out in the public domain for tendering purposes by all associated trades/alike.

COMM-TS Enabling Program

LiDAR of the existing HV plantroom, used to design the retained services plan, see "IBSM PSM-SR" Document above.

Keevan would usually take base-level LiDAR’s of plant space’s and alike, so when working remotely he could gauge a better understanding of space/planning etc. rather than just the use of photographs.

This is not a great example due to being rushed hence blur parts that are not formatted properly (via phone) and was not held in all positions long anoth for the data processing, it is NOT to be compared/confused to a professional point-cloud survey...

NOTE:

Although it is nice to present reports in both a graphical and aesthetically pleasing format/form of documentation, the focus in order of priority should always be:

1. Content / Date / Detail.
2. Readability / Easy to navigate and understand.
3. Then made to look pretty, if possible/capable.
